August 17th~

If you're alive, you can't be bored in San Francisco...

This can so definitely apply to me since I am always
(almost always) bored, but in San Francisco there was no time
for that.  I loved every moment we had there, and I would
definitely "do" San Francisco again.  So much left to see.

We drove by a beautiful area called Crissy Field. All of My
pictures are blurry, but this is what it looks like.  It's a public
recreation area on the northern shore of the San Francisco
Peninsula in California located just east of the Golden
Gate Bridge. It includes restored tidal marsh and beaches.

No trip to San Francisco is complete without a stop at
the Golden Gate Bridge.  The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension
bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide (1.6 km)
strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean.

The first time we visited the bridge, the fog was
too much.  Fog is something San Francisco sees a lot
of, especially in the months of June through August.

The fog in San Francisco was given the name of
Karl, the San Francisco Fog.  Karl, The Fog has his own
Instagram page as well Karl, The San Francisco Fog

The bridge is one of the most internationally
recognized symbols of San Francisco and California.  If you're
every in San Francisco make dure you go.  According to
our Uber driver, the winter months are less foggy.

Our second time around at the bridge was a little better but
not much.  Even so, we really had a great time taking pictures
and admiring it.  After all, The Golden Gate Bridge is described
in Frommer's travel guide as "possibly the most beautiful,
certainly the most photographed, bridge in the world.

Though I have not seen Jennifer and Nancy for so many
years, it just felt natural.  We caught up on our days as EMT
in New York City.  Jennifer and I were partners together with another
Irish girl, Tracy.  Together we had a racket.  Seeing San Francisco
with them was probably one of the best ideas this summer.

Some evenings the girls were so tired they needed a few
hours to "re-coup" before we took off again.  I did not want
to "waste" a single moment, so I always took off a little on
my own.  I also enjoyed this time on my own very much.

During these "off" hours I tried so many different drinks,
but one of my favorite is the one called California Dreamin'.
Never have I had vanilla vodka before.  It was just delicious.

According to our Uber driver, San Francisco is always
on the cooler side.  He even said that in winter it was
better because of the less fog and more sunshine.
He also said that it was less windy.  Hmmm.

After we were done with all our walking and exploring
for the day we usually gathered by the fire at the hotel
and had hot chocolate and we made smores.  Occasionally
there was tequila involved (thank you Jennifer) 😂I think
San Francisco is now one of my most favorite cites.

Yesterday I took Gail, Sniff's pet-sitter out to lunch.
This is the second time we're going to the same restaurant.
We both agree that Indian food is the way to go. The food
as always was delicious, but each time we get together
Gail and I learn something new about each other.

We were done with lunch before 3 o'clock.  I still
had a lot of time and I sure did make the most of it.
It was after all Music Walk downtown Fort Myers.

It's looking like another good day here.  Warm, but we are
actually having an unusual "cold front"  All is good and today
is a brand new day to discover and to explore possibilities.

It is an odd thing, but everyone who disappears
is said to be seen in San Francisco...
