The food you eat can be either the safest and most powerful
form of medicine or the slowest form of poison...
My sister Narima, Rima as we call her has a way with words.
The other day she posted this on Facebook:
Her caption was:
Everything in moderation is my mantra, but this makes me think twice. Damn!
Have to say I could not agree more. We are all "guilty" of having some
so called "unhealthy" cravings. Me probably more than most. When buying groceries,
I read all the ingredients of what I am buying. I always try to stay away from anything that
says ARTIFICIALLY FLAVORED.
When I buy my Starbucks drink, I know it contains more sugar that I should
have. I know it has tons of calories and I know that too many of the other ingredients
are probably not so good for the body. Even so, I indulge in it every so often. Now after
seeing this I will have to re-think some of my choices. In my defense, I have only had the
"Pumpkin" Spice Latte twice. Probably will never have it again. Will stick to my regular cafe latte.
Coffee time is some of the best times spent with friends and family. My sisters, mom
and I enjoy an outing to just have coffee. Starbucks is our choice. We just relax,
talk about anything or nothing at all. It is just being together that makes the moment special.
We don't need to have a cup of coffee, but the idea of it is also
good and just going together for it is what makes it so much more special.
Right now just enjoying everyone as much as I can, I'm HAPPY
Wishing you all a good day.
Remember, it is always the little things that bring the most joy.
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.
Life is amazingly good when it’s simple and amazingly simple when it’s good...
