Taste of Chicago...

Chicago, perhaps the most typically American place in America.
It is the pulse of America....

It's that time of the year again.

Once again the city of Chicago is buzzing with people from all over the world.
Millions of people are here for the Taste of Chicago a yearly event that goes on for 5 days.
As the weekend approaches, the streets are almost impossible to to get by.
This is after all a walking city.

As Arvid and I were walking along the city we found it almost impossible
to hold hands. Too many people and not enough space, but so much fun.
I enjoy seeing the crowds I just don't enjoy having to fight my way through them.

The weekend promises to be hot and packed with people.  Best thing we could do
is stay as far away from the park and Navy Pier, not a problem because
there are so many options here.  Even so, no matter where you go it will be
BUSY.  We decided to go to The Miracle Mile and do some shopping and dining.

The Taste of Chicago is the nation's premier outdoor food festival showcasing
of Chicago's dining community.  The delicious array of food served
at Taste of Chicago is complemented by music and exciting
 activities for the entire family.

Every summer since 1980, Chicago's beautiful Grant Park
on the city's magnificent lakefront has been home to the world's largest food festival.
If you ever want to experience something extraordinary..this is the city for it..
Summertime in Chicago.  Can't be beat!!  To complete the afternoon
nowhere better than The Cheesecake Factory for lunch and a stroll
along the Magnificent Mile.

Delicious is the best way to describe it!
Have a great weekend!

We're Chicago - we can do anything, damn it...
