The best is yet to come....
July 4th turned out to be a perfect day in every sense of the word. For a change
Chicago had a perfect summer day. Theses are the kind of days we are
normally used to, but which have been few and rare so far this summer.

It was the perfect afternoon to sit outdoors and enjoy some good food ,some drinks
and just watch the boats go by one after another. Everyone was happy
and in a good mood for July 4th.
One of the nice things is that we are able to see the fireworks from our balcony.
Needless to say the city of Chicago is beautiful and when the fireworks
get going it is even more of an amazing sight as you can see from this picture.
Though very nice to be out and enjoy the festivities, we spent the bulk of
the evening home with Brutus who today is
no longer afraid of fireworks thanks to Arvid. With lots of
patience, Arvid has managed to make Brutus sit with us and not run away
while the fireworks are going on.
As you can see, Brutus is relaxed and the fireworks never bothered him.
Woke up this morning with Brutus all stretched out between us and to
the welcoming sight to sunshine. Yes! It's going to be a good day and I
think we should go out and celebrate!
