July 4th

Freedom is never given, it is won...

I have said this before and I will say it again; I feel very fortunate 
to be living in the USA.  There is no better place on earth as
 far as I am concerned.  Even though I have traveled a bit
 I would never choose any other place to call home.

Being born in a different county makes you appreciate the USA
even more.  Here we have the freedom to say and do what
we like. I have also lived in many states within the USA

and I have to say that today one
of my favorite place  is still Chicago.

All summer long there is so much to do. This being 

our last summer here in Chicago, we are trying to do 
and to visit all of our favorite spots.  So far we are 
doing pretty good even though the weather has not
always been at its best.  It has been really a great treat 
also to experience once again the Blackhawks winning 
 the Stanley Cup.  For days Chicago partied and we saw fireworks
from the balcony.  Yes a good experience for our last time here. 

On the actual day, July 4th we always plan on
being with Brutus.  Arvid likes to make sure that the Fireworks
do not scare him so we stay in.  During the day, well there are many things
one can do and still get into enough trouble :)

where at least I know I'm free.

And I won't forget the men who died,

who gave that right to me..
