If you haven't any charity in your heart, you have the worst kind of heart trouble...
In life sometimes you take for granted that certain things are a given. Some say kindness is free so therefore, everyone must possess it. Not true. I have learnt from life that kindness comes from the heart and that not all have it.
When I was in New York, there was family all over the place and everyone did as much as they could to help out in whatever way was possible. In this case, I would like to say that my aunt and her husband, mentioned above did more than their fair share.
When my sisters and I moved to New York, my uncles wife, my aunt Farida did not really know us. Did that stop her from showing us kindness, generosity and affection? Did not. My uncle is kindness personified. Aside from having everyone over at their home and making tons of food, he was also driving back and forth to the airport to pick people up without so much a a complaint. This at a time when in NY gasoline is being rationed. One does not come across too many people like that in ones lifetime. I feel fortunate to be their niece and to have them as my aunt and uncle.
On behalf of Nina and David, my mom and dad, and myself. Thank you. For always being the kind people you are. My time in NY was good thank you everyone.
