There's something in the air. Something's coming...
Everyone who is smart is seeking higher grounds. This
time not sure were we would go. Seems like the entire state
will be affected one way or the other, and if it's not, we won't
be able to probably get there because of flooding and debris.
Like all animals our Sniff knows something is not right.
He does not leave my side. Not even for a minute. Here he is
sitting on the chair next to me. Just waiting and listening.
To say he is super alert would be an understatement.
We may lose power, we may not, but the odds are
if we do we may just have to sit it out and wait. You see
right now there is nowhere to go. Fort Lauderdale sure ain't
looking good either. Flooding is the problem right now, but
one very kind couple and friends of Arvid's (and mine) have
been kind to offer us to stay in their apartment if we wanted to.
Yes, Sniff as well, as Arvid knows we go nowhere without
Sniff. For now we wait at home, and we hope for the best.
I'm so disappointed, we both are, but in the big picture
one can say it's the least of our worries. We were so looking
forward to seeing my sister and family in Virginia, but because of
Milton, and after effects of Hurricane Helene, Rima and George
decided it was best to cancel their open house. Bummer.
Every storm runs out of rain, just like
every dark night turns into day....
