Arvid, Sniff and I are all good. We lost power a few
hours after Hurricane Milton made landfall in Sarasota.
At the same time we also lost internet connection. We
regained power in less than 24 hours, but no internet.
Compared to what others are going through
we have been once again truly fortunate.
Yesterday while we had no power, of course we
were restless and needed to do something. We went
to check out the area. In our area there was no flooding
remaining. There was debris from broken branches. The
wind was strong. It howled on Wednesday night like crazy.
Even with Hurricane impact windows we heard it.
Sniff was pretty brave during all of this. He did
not run and hide a lot. Mostly he stayed close to Arvid
and I tucked in snugly and happily. He’s a trouper.
Yesterday we went “hunting” for food. There is
still over two million customers in Florida without power.
Tampa alone has almost one million without. By the way,
Nina and David’s home in Tampa did good.
Relief all around. So in our search for food,
we tried several places that had power or were working
on a generator. Most did not, but the ones we found
lines/wait was too crazy. We drove around a bit and
eventually came across a Burger King. Arvid was so
happy same here. A warm meal is a warm meal.
As of right now we still have no internet and
depending on where we go we also lose cell service.
But we’re still better off than so so many.
Today’s post may not be the best in-terms of
alignment. First time using my iPhone to write my blog.
But this is what’s going on. We are doing good,
and as always we continue to stay busy.
Good morning and a good day to all.
After the storm the days are always so beautiful.
Yesterday was a gorgeous day. Today is also
looking to be the same, also, it is Friday
