At the end of the day, if you feel like
you're a good person, and your intentions
are good, then that's all that matters...

San Francisco: where your Uber driver is likely a tech
CEO working on their side hustle. Our Uber driver was
exactly one of these tech savvy guys. Not CEO but his
day job was in one of those fancy tech buildings.
I can go on and on about San Francisco, but this is it for
now. I loved the city and I definitely would love to see it with
Arvid. Would one daylike to show him one of the places we
went to. Jennifer snagged us reservations a few days ahead
of time. We had a great table with excellent views.
We went to a place called Trader Vic's. Years ahead
of his time, Vic began serving simmering plates of island
style cuisine, and Trader Vic's quickly became one of
America's first fusion restaurant concepts.
Trader Vic's invented the original Mai Tai. In 1944
Trader Vic's concocted a rum drink and served it to a guest who,
upon tasting it, said “Mai Tai Roa Ae!( “Out of this world!” )
in Tahitian. Lo and behold the Mai Tai was invented.
We had delicious food, but the drinks were just amazing.
We went a little overboard. No regrets from any of us.
I was going to sample as much as possible. Pondo Punch,
Tequila and who remembers what else. We "survived"
I can go on an on about San Francisco and the delicious
food and drinks we had, plus all the other places we've
been to and not mentioned. We tried just about all
the drinks on the menu. We were five girls after all.
I cannot forget the delicious desserts we sampled. I
sure gained even more weight. But what a great time.
As Mark Twain said, "The coldest winter I ever spent
was a summer in San Francisco." and boy do I miss it.
Not the cold, but that city. It All Starts Here 💘
I didn't do much walking around yesterday. My
knee really hurts, but I still managed to go to a favorite
spot of ours. It was close by, so not much walking.
As the new week begins, Sniff and I are looking forward to
new adventures and to try out new things. Well mostly I
am. Sniff is looking forward to more relaxing times.
Wishing everyone a great week ahead and may
it find you in good health and as we know, a new
day means new possibilities. Happy Monday all.
Leaving San Francisco is like saying goodbye to
an old sweetheart. You want to linger as long as possible.
