Valentines Day. We don't make a fuss over it, but it is definitely a big day especially
for people in the flower and chocolate business. From the time I can remember my parents
always gave us a little something on this day. It was not necessarily something big nor expensive,
but it was the thought that went into it. They never stopped making us feel loved and special.
To this day my mom sends us a little card and they do the same for all the grand kids.
Some traditions can't really be broken, and my parents left us with so many.
Though we don't do much, Arvid did take me to see Gladys Knight in concert last night.
One of his favorite songs "Midnight Train To Georgia" which I now also like was the reason
to go. Hearing her sing it was basically what we went there for, but it always helps when
we end up having a great time and making an evening out of it. Was a fun outing.
We are almost halfway through February. This month and next month we have
many things to do. Arvid knows how to find things for us to do, and right now I am happy
for it, but what I am most happy for was that he was the one who suggested we go to
my parents. He of course knows me better than anyone. He makes me happy.
Looking like a pretty good day. Today I will take Arvid out. Makes me also
happy to do things for him and, he loves his relaxing Sunday outing.
Shadow was all over the place this morning running like crazy. These last few days,
he has come to the bed and has fallen asleep really close to us. Even if it was only for half
an hour it is a start. Arvid and I need to find a bond with him and we are trying.
He is a good kitty and like my sisters and parents tell me, loving him does not mean we
forget Brutus. Brutus is forever in my heart, and I will be the first to say that it will
be impossible to ever forget Brutus. He is after all and will always be my baby.
