You can learn many things from children. How much patience you have, for instance...
Two years ago we first met Julian. Tiny little thing and seeing him again today we noticed all the changes in him. So very big, tall and as cute as ever. I have been looking forward so much to seeing him again and was almost giving up on it.
You see Julian was in Sweden with his dad ever since we got to Norway, but lucky for us he came home yesterday and his mama brought him over for a visit. Arvid and I enjoyed the time spent with him. Even though brief it was full of laughter, games and more laughter. I was even able to grab him and hug him up a bit before he even realized what was going on. By the way, he's reading the instructions to us on how to assemble his toy train. He read quite a few times until we got it right. Smart little dude.
Something about this little dude that just pulls my heart strings. Now I can say the trip to Norway is complete.
Children will not remember you for the material things you provided but for the feeling that you cherished them...
