Last Friday In Norway...

After all, the best part of a holiday is perhaps not so much to be resting yourself, as to see all the other fellows busy working....

Friday started out pretty slow.  Quite relaxing actually.  Early breakfast and we were already on the move.  Arvid's mother had quite a few chores that needed to be done.  That was OK with us.  I like to be on the move so we went to a few places I have not been to during this year's visit.  I like to look at everything so while she shopped  was also doing my own shopping.  Arvid was tagging along.

We had lunch at Arvid's mom's place.  That was also good.  As usual the skies were dark, thundering and raining while we ate.  Was nice to be indoors for a change.  We had a Norwegian summer favorite, they call it Norwegian Shrimp even though it comes from Alaska.

It's fresh shrimp cooked at sea and salted.  It's eaten mainly on bread with mayonnaise and a salad on the side.  Some prefer to have it as a shrimp salad.  Either way it's good.  With this meal you work hard for it, but it's good.

 For the evening we have made plans with Arvid's brother and girlfriend.  We really have a good time when together so this will be no exception.  Hopefully we will be able to go out for a boat trip.  With this weather you never know.  Right now it is looking good for that boat trip.

Thursday we were supposed to go listen to music and check out some good deals going on, but unfortunately that did not happen.

Tomorrow should also be a good day.  We already have plans with everyone for the evening.  Some music, drinks and will see what else...
