Beaches Negril in Jamaica is the place to be if you are going to Jamaica. It is absolutely beautiful and has one of the most awesome beches you will ever see.
Getting to the resort from the airport was a little over an hour but that was OK because we were able to see a bit of Jamaica that otherwise we would not have seen. Was not too impressed with what we actually saw. The country is very poor it appears and most of the houses were run down and torn up. Even so we were looking forward to our vacation.
As we are driving our taxi driver asks us if we wanted to take a a break. I sure did not know what he was saying because I have never taken a break from airport to hotel. So of course I said no, we do not need a break but, it seems like the taxi man was the one needing a break. We stopped he uses the restroom we take some pictures....and on our way we go again to the hotel. The taxi driver's name was Carrington but he said we could call him Stylish.....why I don't know...he was very friendly and gave us the grand tour alll the way to our Resort.
Once we got to the resort it is as if you are stepped into an entirely different world. Everything is beautiful, immaculate with the most awesome views and scenery imaginable (except for Eleuthera). To me it was heaven......unfortunately, heaven comes with a price. Being an all inclusive resort, we were not alone...not by a long shot... there were people and more people all around us. Something about Arvid.....he does not like crowds. I liked it....who in their right minds would not. It was absolutely stunning. There were things I could have done without also. I do not like the "buffet" style of eating..... and neither does Arvid. I hate making a line to get food. Of course there were some other restaurants we could have gone to and had the full service. We did try that one night but waited almost a hour to be served. Do not like waiting....we made up for that by visiting the bar frequently... 
We saw some amazing things and we did some pretty cool stuff.....
I tried many fruits I had as a child growing up in Guyana....delicious..Saw some sights I would rather I did not...but in that moment it did not matter...
because this place was so absolutely beautiful and I was going to enjoy it one way or another. Arvid on the other hand..........well what can I say..... the man wants to be left alone.....just he and I and paradise....

When in Jamaica I discovered a new drink...called Hummingbird. Was absolutely delicious. Recommend it to all. Among the places we visited is a place called Rick's Cafe....http://www.rickscafejamaica.com/

Have seen some amazing things/sights on this trip. Though i don't think we will be going back to Jamaica, I greatly recommend it to you. Stay in an all inclusive resort..........beautiful, all the food you can handle and all the drinks you want .....everything included.
