One of my favorite things in the morning is waking up to Brutus running into our bedroom with his tiny meow announcing to us that he has slept enough and it is now time for us to play with him and to give him some attention.....not a bad start of our mornings.. I mean just look at him...OK so I am biased...but he's too cute for words. Once Brutus has been taken care of we can then move on to our business as usual day....
My husband is very peculiar in his likes and dislikes (like most of us). One of the things that he really does not like is my hair being straight...
I mean what's so terrible about it...just different from my natural curly hair. It's strange because where he comes from (Norway) most of the women are blond and have straight hair...yet he prefers dark hair like mine...lucky me I have both...ha!ha!
Arvid and I are very excited to soon be going to Eleuthera. Arvid loves the fact that we are alone and that no one bothers us out there....quiet, secluded, peaceful..
Today I am going to start putting together all the things we need to take with us. Taking our kitty cat always stresses me out because I am not sure how he will fare on the flight. Fortunately he has been there a few times before and has done very well...yet I stress...
The morning was spent productively gathering everything we will need with us in the island. I always overstock but that's part of the fun.... when in the island everything goes...The Bahamas is known for their Kalik beers something Arvid looks forward to when there...nice and cold....just picture yourself being there sitting by the water with not a care in the world...just you, your Kalik and some good company.....
Also famous for its Cape Eleuthera Institute.....
The Cape Eleuthera Institute is a marine research facility that works with universities to model sustainable systems and find solutions for resource management. The Island School is a three-month semester leadership program for high school students. Participants have come from over 300 schools to study the tropical marine environment and take place-based courses in math, history, English, and art. For more information visit www.ceibahamas.org and www.islandschool.org. Both programs receive support from the Cape Eleuthera Foundation.
